Drummer | Vocalist

Gary Hanson stands as a powerhouse drummer and background vocalist, solidifying his role as one of the founding members of the acclaimed band Fear Not. With a drumming career that ignited in elementary school—thanks to a drum set lent by a family friend—Hanson established a solid foundation in music, driven by inspiration from legends like Deep Purple, The Beatles, Van Halen, and the vibrant 80s metal scene.

His dedication to mastery led him to study under renowned drummers such as Chuck Silverman (World renowned Educator), Zoro (Lenny Kravitz), and Jamie Wollan of Tears for Fears, drawing knowledge from their vast experiences. This rigorous training paved the way for an illustrious touring career with iconic bands of the 80s, including English Beat, The Brave, and Dave Messenger.

Hanson's explosive drumming can be heard on Fear Not's critically acclaimed 2022 release, “Field of Sorrows,” in addition to several projects produced by award-winning music producers Dino and John Elefante. His innovative approach and signature grooves have established him as a key figure in the band, continuously pushing the boundaries of rhythm in Hard Rock drumming.
